Part Time 3 evenings per week from 5pm-8pm £8.00-£8.50 per hour

To assist where necessary with the day-to-day smooth running of the kitchen, in the absence of the Head Cook.

Hold a Food Hygiene certificate level 2

To carry out record keeping as necessary

To assist the Head Cook to ensure the well-being and safe keeping of all kitchen equipment and utensils

To set tables and trays, prepare and serve afternoon tea and evening meals, tidy and clear the Kitchen and the Dining Rooms at the end of service.

To prepare nutritious well balance evening meals for the residents.·

Help with the serving of meals for residents, be understanding of any specific food requirements and ensure everyone is treated with respect, dignity and given choice.· To understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH, Environmental Health, to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.·

To clean and tidy all areas of the kitchen with the correct products following instruction and guidance contained in the cleaning schedules ensuring the home is always cleaned to the highest standards.·

Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in full, safe working order, immediately report any faults to the Cook or Manager. ·

To receive and unload new stock, store appropriately and rotate current stock correctly to maintain optimum freshness of all food supplies.·

To work as an integral part of the team, contribute to meetings and training sessions as required ensuring that Charnwood is a friendly and supportive working environment.
